What does this incredible opportunity to partner with Habitat for Humanity mean to me? Where do I even start? Well, it means that I can breathe again. It means a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. It means sunshiny days my yard and in my heart. It means stability. It means independence. It means silver linings. It means I can do hard things. It means I have a home, a place for my children to gather and share memories and traditions and life milestones. It means that I have a safe, affordable, beautiful new home for me and my daughter to live now... and a place for my three sons to come home to visit. It means my kids will not have to try and remember any more new street addresses or remember the years by which house we were living in. It means I am blessed beyond measure with love and kindness and generosity and service from so many friends and family, the ones I knew before Habitat and the ones it has been my privilege to meet and make my new friends and family. And it means this is only the beginning, the beginning of so many more hopes and dreams, joy and happiness, love and laughter to be had within these walls...built from the inside out with love!

Thank you, Habitat for Humanity. Thank you for believing in me. I'll be forever grateful, forever thankful, that on a dark and sad day, I filled out that application. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

-Jancee, homeowner

Stability is my favorite part of my new home. With how much I have moved from house to house, and town to town, and province to province, it’s nice to finally have my forever home with my mom. Now there is somewhere that my brothers and I have that is ours, for Christmas and holidays. Our home that we all helped to build that can make us all feel safe and loved. Our house really was built with love from the inside out. Thank you, Habitat, and all those who volunteered and helped make our dream come true.
