Daniel Roberts is the Controller at Big Bear Energy Services, a company located in Sylvan Lake focused on fluid management in North America. Having worked in Red Deer at RSM, a public accounting firm, for 5 years he specialized in real estate, construction, and energy. Born and raised in Stony Plain he attended his undergraduate degree in Edmonton, where he first became involved in Habitat for Humanity volunteering on some of their builds, and assisted in creating a marketing plan for the Edmonton’s ReStore. After moving to Red Deer in 2015, Daniel joined the Habitat board in May 2018 as the Treasurer, implementing a more structured budgeting program and focusing on increasing the accuracy of financial information. In May 2020, Daniel stepped into the Chairperson role and is optimistic that the organization will continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, and strategically position itself in Central Alberta to service families for years to come. Additionally, Daniel holds his CPA Designation, a Masters in Professional Accounting, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting.
