Donating to the ReStore:
Your donation helps build affordable homes
When you donate to the Habitat Red Deer ReStore, you are having a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of hard-working Central Alberta families.

The ReStore is located on Gasoline Alley at #100 - 409 Lantern Street and accepts donations
every day from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. Charitable tax receipts are available upon request.

If you are unable to bring your donated items to the ReStore, we will happily arrange a curbside pick-up from your home. To arrange a pick-up, please click the button below or call 403-309-0998.
Donation Guide​

We accept donations at the Red Deer ReStore from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Saturday (excluding statutory holidays).

We accept items that are in good condition and working order.
-
We will refuse any item that are:
-
broken
-
has rips/tears
-
has stains/smells
-
has pet hair,
-
has smoke damage
-
other damages of any kind.

We pick up items within Red Deer city limits for free.
-
There may be a charge for out of town pickups depending on distance and size of donation.

Pick-up items must be ready for pick-up at the scheduled time, left curbside, and disassembled for ease of transport.

We are unable to make pick-ups from inside individuals' homes.

Tax receipts may be issued for donations with a retail value greater than $100. The value is assessed and determined by our donations team. Please note that if you would like a tax receipt, you are required to request one at the time of donation. Tax receipts will be provided via email.
What We Accept (and Don't Accept)
We are incredibly grateful for every donation we receive. To help us make the best use of our space and resources, there are some items we are unable to accept, while other categories may be temporarily paused when our departments have reached storage capacity.

Breaker boxes, gas tools or anything that runs on fuel, BBQ tanks, House vacuums (shop vacs are ok), Beds, Mattresses, Box springs, Furnaces, Water heaters, Blinds with cords (Illegal to sell), Curtains, Clothes, Fabrics, Glass, Toilets, Bathtubs, Baby Stuff, Tube TV stands, Brass, Fish tanks, Open insulation, Headboards by themselves, Used underlay, Carpet, Storage and cabinet drawers, Large music instruments, Loose tile and flooring (Has to be over 100sq ft), Fluorescent lights, Bins without lids, Exercise equipment, Medical equipment, Projector screens, Appliance accessories, 6ft Hutches, Anything with rust, Pot Lights, Hangers, Magazines/comics, Closet/curtain rods, Corner desks, L + U Shaped desks, Chemicals, Lightbulbs, Sliding Glass Doors, suspended ceiling equipment and tiles.
