Steps to purchasing a Habitat Home

1. Review our eligibility criteria on our website - Eligibility Criteria | Habitat Red Deer to see if you qualify

2. Attend a Family Information Session – Learn about Habitat Red Deer, the Affordable Homeownership Program, and available homes

3. Complete and Submit an Application – You will receive an application after attending an Information Session. Submit the application by the specified deadline

4. Participate in a Home Visit Interview – If your application meets the program requirements, you will be scheduled for a Home Interview. You will be asked to provide supporting financial documentation

5. Family Selection Review – The Family Services Committee reviews all applications, interviews, and supporting documents to select partner families for the program

6. Begin Your Habitat Partnership – Selected families will meet with Habitat Red Deer staff to begin their partnership journey, including completing partnership hours and preparing for homeownership
