On September 11, 2025, we celebrated the beginning of our 51st home build with a groundbreaking event. In attendance were members of the Habitat for Humanity Red Deer Board of Directors, representatives from Red Deer City Council, community residents, and the media.
Â
Located at 2 Adamson Ave in Red Deer, this home will be a single-family detached home with 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, and universal design, allowing an adaptable living space for families with mobility limitations. Excavation on the land is scheduled to begin on September 22, 2025.
Â
Our new CEO, Bradley Blois, received an official welcome to the Habitat Red Deer team from our Board Chair, Adam Goodwin, both delivering inspiring speeches focused on the positive impact Habitat for Humanity Red Deer has within the community by providing safe and affordable housing for hard working families. Elder Lynn graciously provided a meaningful land blessing, followed by a speech from Mayor Ken Johnston.
Â
Stay tuned for the announcement of the Partner Family who will be moving into their new home once the building is complete!
